Jonathan P. Murray
Jonathan is a Managing Director at UBS Financial Services in Hunt Valley, MD. From 1994 to 2006, Jonathan worked for Legg Mason in Baltimore. From 1989 to 1994, he was with Kidder, Peabody, and Co. Prior to his investment career, Jonathan worked in higher education as the Assistant Dean of Admissions at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. Jonathan currently manages $600 million of clients’ retirement assets and works closely with affluent families to help them achieve their financial goals through trusted, caring advice.
In addition to serving as a daily financial analyst on WBAL Radio in Baltimore, he appears regularly on WBAL TV, and is a contributor with his twin brother David on The Today Show and MSNBC, where they discuss current economic conditions, investment themes, and wealth management strategies. Jonathan is frequently quoted in The New York Times, The Baltimore Sun and The Baltimore Business Journal. He is a lecturer for the Loyola College MBA program, the University of Maryland and for Johns Hopkins University.
Jonathan graduated from Dickinson College in 1984. He was elected as a trustee there, and served as Chairman of the Finance, Budget and Audit Committee, Chairman of the Investment Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Academic Affairs Committee. He also sits on the Board of the Boys' Latin School in Maryland and is Chairman of their Capital Campaign. Jonathan and his wife live in the Pinehurst community of Baltimore with their two sons.
David R. Murray
A national financial commentator and a 20 year veteran in the investment management business, David has worked for some of the nation's leading money managers. Over his career, he has raised and retained over $5 billion in individual and institutional assets for 3 mutual fund companies, an NYSE brokerage firm, and an exclusive private bank. Specializing in meeting the unique financial needs of Baby Boomers, David and his twin brother, Jonathan, appear regularly on The Today Show and MSNBC, where they discuss current economic conditions, investment themes, and wealth management strategies.
David is Managing Director, Wealth Management, for The PrivateBank, located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. His organization manages the financial affairs for successful individuals, affluent families, closely-held businesses, and not-for-profit foundations and endowments. The PrivateBank's Michigan offices have approximately 1,000 clients with roughly $500 million in total assets.
David is a graduate of Dickinson College, where he holds a Geology degree with an English Literature minor. He also attended The University of Lancaster, in Lancashire, England. David resides in Birmingham, Michigan with his wife and their three children. He sits on the advisory boards of The Detroit Discovery Museum and Dickinson College, and is actively involved in Birmingham Public Schools and The Stephen Ministry for Community Outreach.
