Laura Dave releases highly anticipated sequel to bestselling thriller

LAURA DAVE's The First Time I Saw Him revisits the world of her breakout bestseller The Last Thing He Told Me, picking up five years after Owen’s disappearance. The novel follows Hannah Hall and her stepdaughter Bailey as they navigate new danger and shifting family ties, and it quickly became an instant New York Times bestseller upon its January 6, 2026 release.
Season two of The Last Thing He Told Me on Apple TV+ draws from the sequel, with Jennifer Garner returning as Hannah alongside Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Owen, extending the story from page to screen.
