Emmy-nominated producer Kevin Hart was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he launched his career as a comedian during an amateur night at a local comedy club. Over the years Hart has become Hollywood’s box office powerhouse, opening ten films at number one at the box office with $4.23 billion revenue at the global box office.
Hart is the Founder of three companies, his goal is for these companies to create an eco-system and become an incubator for extraordinary growth and creativity.
Hart can currently be seen starring in the feature film Fatherhood, he also produced through Hartbeat Productions. Based on the best-selling book, Two Kisses for Maddy, Fatherhood tells the story of a single dad navigating parenthood after his wife unexpectedly dies a day after giving birth. The movie has been watched by more than 61 million accounts globally making it one of the most successful original dramatic movies on Netflix. On the small screen, Hart can be seen on Motor Trend’s Kevin Hart’s Muscle Car Crew, a show in which he created and produced through HBP. The show stars Kevin and the Plastic Cup Boyz and centers around them trying to create a car club while building the muscle cars of their dreams.
Hart can next be seen in two original programs on his Digital Network Laugh Out Loud. His first ever talk show Hart to Heart, which premieres on August 5th and an Olympics highlight show which he stars opposite Snoop Dog. Both series will air on Peacock this summer.
Early in 2021 Hart wrapped production on his new Netflix drama series, “True Story,” which he is starring in opposite Wesley Snipes and also producing through his Hartbeat Productions. Additionally, he also wrapped production on Lionsgate’s science-fiction-action-comedy, Borderlands, which he will be starring in opposite Cate Blanchett.
In 2020 Hart released his seventh hour long stand-up special, Zero Fu**ks Given, which quickly became Netflix's biggest stand-up special of 2020. Hart also starred in and produced Die Hart, the first production of its kind, created through his digital network, Laugh Out Loud, and Executive Produced through HartBeat Productions. The series has since moved to Roku, and they have picked up a second season which will go into production soon. Hart earned an Emmy nomination for his role in the short-form series, he was nominated in 2021 in the category “Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series.”
