Legendary hockey player, sports analyst, and TV personality Henrik Lundqvist is heralded as one of the top goaltenders in NHL history. Henrik played his entire fifteen season career with the New York Rangers, who retired his jersey upon his retirement from the sport.  A dominating rookie season in 2005 earned him the nickname “King Henrik,” and he is the team’s all-time leader in wins (459) and shutouts (64). He was awarded the Vezina Trophy as the league’s top goaltender in 2012, after having been nominated in each of his first three seasons. Henrik joined MSG Network for in-studio coverage of Rangers games beginning in the 2021-22 NHL season, offering invaluable insights about the game drawn from his stellar on-ice career. In 2023, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. 

Henrik also starred in the Emmy Award-winning MSG Network series The Mask, which featured interviews with luminaries from sports and entertainment. Each episode culminated in the creation of a custom goalie mask, which were worn by Henrik during the Rangers’ season. The masks were auctioned with proceeds benefitting the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation, which strives to create positive change in the lives of children and adults throughout the world through education and health services. He also served as the Rangers’ spokesperson for the Garden of Dreams Foundation. When an open-heart surgery pushed him to retire earlier than expected, Henrik became a passionate advocate for health and heart issues, and is a gifted moderator and speaker for fundraisers and groups of all kinds.
