Secure Leadership: The Foundation of Team Success
Do you feel your team has your back? Or do you feel you have to watch your back? The people we work with can elevate us to new heights, or destroy our motivation and make every minute at work feel like pure suffering. How do you build work relationships of the first kind, especially when you don’t get to choose your coworkers? Surprisingly, attachment and neuroscience findings offer simple ways to help our collaborative brains function better. Drawing on the research behind Secure, DR. AMIR LEVINE shows how to use the science of attachment to tackle daunting tasks, identify who you can count on, and strengthen the collaborations already in place. You’ll also learn to use the Collaborative Assessment Scale to evaluate an important workplace relationship, identify what is helping or hurting it, and determine what can be changed. The result: practical tools to help your team collaborate and connect better.

Attached at Work: The Science Behind Stronger Teams
You’re back at work after a vacation, and a message from your boss is waiting for you: “Call me. We need to talk.” What goes through your mind? Do you think it’s good news about your long-awaited promotion, or that you might be getting laid off? Do you call back right away, or put it off, waiting a bit before you respond? The answers lie in your attachment style. We now know that attachment styles affect much more than our romantic relationships. They shape how we shop, manage our health, choose our friends, parent, and… how we work. In this talk, DR. AMIR LEVINE walks you through the basics of attachment styles at work: the ways anxious, avoidant, and secure patterns show up everywhere, and the advantage you gain by knowing your own style and those of the people around you, boosting productivity and improving work relationships. You’ll get a chance to identify your attachment style with different people in your life, including your boss and coworkers, learn how it has shaped your interactions with them, and come away with specific tools to make those interactions more effective. The Secret Life of Scientists: How We Understand the World and the People in It
Science is not just a set of facts. It is a particular way of looking at the world: staying skeptical, testing intuition against evidence, and remaining alert to our own biases. AMIR LEVINE invites audiences to look at their own lives the way a scientist would. Are you carrying beliefs that no longer serve you and might be worth letting go of? Is your interview process really helping you find the right people? And can you sit with a question that has no definitive answer while still finding a better way forward? Drawing on Secure and Attached, Amir turns the scientist’s habits of mind into practical tools for thinking more clearly, holding convictions more lightly, and acting with more freedom in the present.
