Amy B. Chesler is an author, podcaster, speaker, survivor, and victim advocate from Los Angeles, California.

Her training in the arts and public speaking began in childhood, but it wasn’t until losing her mother to domestic violence in 2007 that she found her true calling: trauma-informing the public, and inspiring legal and social change. Her advocacy-related work has been seen on IDtv’s Evil Lives Here and in Chicken Soup for the Soul (several times over), The New York Post, Scary Mommy, Something Was Wrong podcast, and many more major platforms. Amy was even gifted the BlogHer honor of Voice of the Year in 2017, and became emcee of the popular Moms Meet conference in 2018 & 2019.

In April of 2021 she celebrated the release of her true crime memoir, Working for Justice, and in 2023 she launched the chart-topping true crime/self-help podcast, What Came Next with Tiffany Reese of Something Was Wrong. Utilizing her experience in the education and the criminal justice systems, as well as her degree in Psychology, Amy often speaks about parenthood, grief, domestic violence, the nature of abuse, trauma healing, and ethics in the genre of true crime.
