Elsa Majimbo is a 21-year-old comedian, author and social media sensation that took the world by storm during one of the most difficult times in recent history, the ongoing pandemic. Over COVID, Elsa broke out as a surprise online comic sensation starting at just 7k followers and skyrocketing to 4M on Instagram. In Elsa’s pared down satirical commentaries on day-to-day life, she can be seen in MATRIX-style sunglasses casually popping chips in the middle of her irreverent hot takes.
In 2021 Elsa became the first comedian in history to land a couture high fashion collaboration (Maison Valentino). Through her partnership with Valentino, they published Elsa’s co-written children and adults book, The Alphabet for kids & ADULTS with the letters made to be individual NFTs. Elsa has amassed a string of unconventional endorsement deals in various industry sectors, from fashion (Fenty, Coach, Maison Valentino etc), to beauty (MAC). Most recently, she appears in Logitech’s campaign with Lizzo.
On the digital side, Elsa has developed several series such as the bumble produced dating advice show, Ask Elsa, and her relaxed interview series, Bedtime with Elsa. On the TV side, Elsa currently has an autobiographical series in development with Issa Rae's HOORAE, in which she’ll executive produce and star. She also has a non-scripted series that’s in development with Lena Waithe's Hillman Grad Productions.
Elsa’s won a YouTube Streamy, GQ South Africa’s Entertainer of the Year, Forbes Women Africa's Entertainer of The Year, and was recently recognized at Harvard.
Her namesake short documentary ELSA that she wrote and stars in premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.
