The Story of the Iron Dome
While he was the head of research and development (R&D) at the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) & the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Dr. Gold spearheaded the creation of Iron Dome rockets interception system, overcoming huge technological, management & bureaucracy barriers, including over-whelming opposition.
In this multimedia presentation, he presents the unprecedented worldwide breakthrough innovation story of the Iron Dome, which was developed in a record time of 3 years, at a low cost and with breakthrough performances. The "Iron Dome" has saved countless lives, coping with more than 6000 rockets while intercepting the deadly rockets aimed at populated areas, defended strategic sites, saving billions of dollars in damages and giving a vital strategic tool to the country leaders.
Iron Dome and Beyond: Shaping the Next Generation of Israeli Technology and Innovation
In this multimedia presentation, Dr. Gold presents the various breakthrough technologies from all domains (robotics, defense, intelligence, network/digital, cyber, and electric warfare), and shares the Iron Dome story and system.
Coping with Ballistic Threats: From Concept to implementation
In this speech, Dr. Gold covers all the aspects of coping with ballistic threats: intel, warning, strike, land operations, active defense, and command & control. He offers fascinating insight into a few areas' main research and development sectors.
From Iron Dome and Electronic Warfare to Cyber Dome: Shaping the Next Generation and Beyond
This is an innovative, unique presentation about cyber security, which integrates concepts, technology and ideas with cross disciplinary fields, mainly from electronic warfare and rocket and missile defense.
Research & Development Strategic Innovation, Planning & Execution: From Practice to Methodology
The aim of this presentation is to present the experience of creating a successful, practical scheme of coherent multiple methodologies, which maximize the efficiency & effectiveness of investments and management of R&D while encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, educated risk-taking and top performance. This strategic process was developed and crystallized in recent years, in the R&D of IMOD/IDF, and is unique because it relies on the practical hands-on experience, innovations and R&D management in Israel. The lecture will be accompanied with demonstrations and videos while focusing in Iron Dome project.
