We don’t stop thinking you’re important once we sign a contract- that’s just the beginning of our partnership. Your agent will help you secure a speaker, provide advertising and sponsorship ideas, arrange travel and logistics, and schedule receptions and book signings. We know that for most groups, booking a speaker is the first of many steps toward planning an outstanding event. In addition, we have developed MyHarryWalker, an easy-to-use Internet tool to help you enter, manage, submit and access your event specific information.

Our Client Services department is dedicated to making the logistics of your event run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. We will work with you to make travel arrangements for the speaker, coordinating with the speaker’s personal calendar, and prepare the speaker for your event. When appropriate, we will help coordinate press, receptions, and booksignings and take special requests to the speaker on your behalf.

In addition to the speaker’s honorarium, the client is usually responsible for round-trip travel and accommodations, as well as any other incidentals such as meals. Some speakers travel with an aide. These incidentals and speakers’ travel preferences will be spelled out to you up-front, so there won’t be any unexpected costs after your event.

Usually speakers do not object to being taped, and we will assist you in getting permission from the speaker. In most cases, the speaker simply wants assurance that a tape of his or her speech will not be broadcast or used to generate profit for a group without express written consent from the speaker.

We will provide you with emergency contact numbers for the agency and your exclusive agent, who can help you solve any unforeseen difficulties.

In the rare event that a speaker cancels, we will work with you to reschedule your event to a new mutually agreeable date. Alternatively, we will call upon our extensive roster of the world’s foremost speakers to help you find a respected and relevant substitute.

Our roster features speakers to suit a range of budgets. We will work with you to find an excellent speaker within your budget, or help provide suggestions of where you may possibly find additional funding paths. Our experienced staff will share with you budget and funding solutions used by other groups. We can offer you ideas of where to find potential corporate or private underwriters.
