Robin Lewis's Biography

Robin Lewis is the CEO of THE ROBIN REPORT, a knowledge-based, multi-media strategic report for C-level executives in the retail industry. He was the founder of the Goldman Sachs retail consulting subsidiary, Vantage Marketplace, which provides clients with strategic information and consulting on all sectors of retailing worldwide. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he was Vice President and Executive Editor of Women's Wear Daily, where he originated and led Fairchild's Strategic Information Services and the WWD CEO Summit series. He has consulted for Kohl’s, Bloomingdale’s, JC Penney, Macy’s, Liz Claiborne, Estee Lauder, Ralph Lauren, Sara Lee, and financial firms such as Bear Stearns and The Carlyle Group.

Lewis is the co-author of The New Rules of Retail, published by Palgrave-McMillan in 2010, and is often quoted in various trade and consumer publications such as Women's Wear Daily, Time Magazine, Chicago Sun Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Brand Week, and Advertising Age, as well as on CNBC and MSNBC.

He has served on the Board of Governors for the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Board of Directors for the Fashion Group International.

Michael Dart's Biography

Dart is an accomplished private equity consultant and advisor, with more than 20 years of experience leading major strategic transformations and conducting due diligence for many of the largest private equity funds and global retailers. He specializes in due diligence and growth strategy, across all consumer and retail sectors. Dart was recognized by Consulting magazine in 2010 as one of its Top 25 Consultants. He also co-authored The New Rules of Retail, which was featured on three Amazon best seller lists. Dart is a frequent speaker at major conferences and he delivered keynote speeches at the Women’s Wear Daily CEO Summit NYC and the Global Department Store Summits in Paris and Beijing. He is a frequent contributor in the press and was recently profiled in the Personal Journal section of The Wall Street Journal. At Kurt Salmon, he was a senior partner and led the firm’s Private Equity and Strategy Practice. Previously, he was a partner with Bain & Company. He is currently a partner at A.T. Kearney’s San Francisco office.
