Drawing from his hilarious daily observations as a hip college graduate, Dan Ahdoot has audiences rolling in the aisles with everything from his childhood tales as part of an immigrant family, to his relatable and famously funny "prank call" sketches. As the only Iranian Jewish comedian in the world, Dan's insightful humor reflects the development and diversity of the new, young comics emerging on the entertainment circuit.
Dan Ahdoot is a standup comic, actor, writer and producer based out of New York City and Los Angeles. He is a national headliner who has performed in all 50 states and Canada. He is also one of the highest booked college acts in the country - performing at well over 300 colleges. He also performs at corporate events for a variety of companies and organizations.
Dan was a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, has written for MTV’s Short Circuits, Comedy Central’s Crank Yankers, A&E’s Roast of Gene Simmons, and was a standup comedy coach on MADE on MTV. Most recently, he wrote the new feature film about the Janoskians for Lionsgate.
Dan’s a frequent guest of many late night comedy shows including The Tonight Show, Conan O’Brian, and Comics Unleashed. His standup comedy has won many awards and accolades including Best of the Fest at the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival.
A classically trained actor, Dan has landed roles on national network sitcoms on CBS, ABC, FOX and NBC as well as more niche networks like Comedy Central and MTV. He's garnered many fans as a favorite character actor on Disney, Nickelodeon, and Adult Swim.
Dan has produced shows with Wilshire Entertainment, NBC’s production arm, Shed Media, and Awesomeness TV. His writing has won numerous national awards including twice a finalist at the NYTVFestival’s FOX Sitcom writing contest, and he’s written for television shows on MTV, A&E and Comedy Central.
