Chemi Peres is one of Israel’s foremost venture capital and innovation pioneers having invested in over two hundred technology enterprises. Chemi, with over twenty-five years of experience, is an integral part of the thriving Israeli hi-tech scene and a global leader in the development of cutting-edge innovative technologies. He serves as Managing General Partner and Co-Founder of Pitango Venture Capital, Israel’s leading Venture Capital Group, with over $2 Billion under management, and a portfolio of some 230 global hi-tech companies.
Chemi also serves as the Chairman of Board of Directors of the the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, leading the establishment of the Israeli National Innovation Center. The Peres Center for Peace & Innovation-- founded by Chemi's late father Shimon Peres, the Ninth President of Israel-- is Israel’s leading non-profit organization that is focused on developing and implementing innovative and cutting-edge peacebuilding programs. Established under President Peres’ vision of harnessing innovation to pursue peace and prosperity, the next step in the Peres Center's story is The National Israeli Innovation Center, an initiative which Chemi is taking the lead on.

Mr. Peres holds a BSc. degree in Industrial Engineering & Management and MBA degree from Tel Aviv University. He served in the prestigious Israeli Air Force as a Pilot and was honored with a certificate of honor from the Air Force’s Commander for an act of bravery.
