A charismatic reformer, he is credited as playing a vital role in Mexico’s democratization, and with strengthening the country’s economy. After leaving office in 2006, President Fox and his wife founded Centro Fox, a non-profit dedicated to discover, exercise, and harness the leadership qualities we all have inside of us.

Rave Reviews About Vicente Fox as a Speaker
President Fox was incredible a real class act. We had a full house with 4,200 people, plus an overflow room for another 1,200. President Fox had breakfast with Marlene and I to help him prepare, and then made a walk through our exhibit hall before speech time. He was very interested in our work, especially with relation to his own efforts at Centro Fox.

Immigration reform has long been a priority for President Fox, who, during his time in office, worked with then-President George W. Bush to negotiate immigration policy. Since leaving office, President VICENTE FOX continues to emphasize the importance of immigration reform with the goal of building bridges and why America must establish sensible pathways for citizenship for undocumented immigrants. In his speech, President Fox addresses why immigration reform is crucial for not just America and Mexico, but for the global community at large: “Mexico and other nations consider U.S. immigration reform important because we know our citizens will continue to migrate in search of job opportunities and a better quality of life, with freedom and respect for human rights.”

Biography

Vicente Fox Quesada was born on July 2, 1942. He grew up at Rancho San Cristobal in Guanajuato, a communal land, where the only difference between him and his childhood friends were the opportunities he had. He always remembers from his childhood that one of the harms that can be avoided in our country is poverty.

He studied Business Administration at the Universidad Iberoamericana, and later he received a Top Management Diploma from the Harvard Business School.

In 1964 he joined the Coca-Cola Company in Mexico and started from the bottom; through his perseverance he became President of the company for Mexico and Latin America.

He served as President of Mexico from 2000 to 2006. He was the first candidate from an opposition party to be elected president.

Today Fox is an Advisory Board Member at Inolife Sciences and is actively involved on encouraging leadership and creating opportunities for the less favored people through his organization named Centro Fox.
