Jeffrey E. Garten is the Juan Trippe Professor in the Practice of International Trade, Finance and Business at the Yale School of Management. Prior to this position he was the dean of the school for ten years. During his deanship at Yale, which began in November 1995, the university has established the International Center for Finance at Yale, the International Institute for Corporate Governance, the Sachem Venture Capital Fund for Projects in New Haven and the Yale SOM-Goldman Sachs Partnership for Non-Profit Ventures.
From 1997 to 2005, Mr. Garten wrote a monthly column for Business Week on the major challenges facing global business leaders. He serves on the board of directors for the Aetna Corporation, CarMax, Credit Suisse Asset Management, the Conference Board and the International Resource Committee.
