Renowned portrait and figurative artist, scholar and leading spokesperson for the traditional school of classical art, Igor Babailov is a recipient of national and international competitions, awards and honors, and is a master of fine art graduate of the world acclaimed Surikov Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow. His fine art education (1974-1990) belongs to the Russian/European academic school of art. He is a third generation student of famous painters as I. Repin, V. Serov and V. Favorskiy.
Honored with the title “living master,” Mr. Babailov is one of the most unique award winning portrait artists of our times, with outstanding credentials and one of the highest levels of art education, to have painted within a short time span, some of the world’s most important leaders and influencers. Over the past 20 years, he has painted numerous portraits of social, business and political elite.
