Dealing with Contemporary American Issues
Serving an influential three terms as 105th Mayor of New York City, the impact of Ed Koch's leadership has spanned far beyond his 1978 to1989 tenure. Among his noted accomplishments, Mr. Koch is credited with several major achievements including the remarkable restoration of fiscal stability to the City of New York, and the innovative placement of the City on a GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices) balanced budget basis, which resulted in an unprecedented number of ten balanced budgets during his administration. With the end of his mayoral duties, Mr. Koch still continues to play a key role in civic service. He is currently a partner in the law firm of Bryan Cave LLP. He hosts a Friday evening call-in radio program on Bloomberg AM 1130 (WBBR). Mr. Koch is a weekly guest on NY1 television with former Senator Alfonse D’Amato and former Public Advocate Mark Green.
