An expert on worldwide espionage and foreign affairs, Mr. Raviv has interviewed Olmert, Peres, Sharon, Barak, Netanyahu, Arafat, Mubarak and all the major Middle East players. Today, Mr. Raviv is the Washington-based National Correspondent for the radio network, hosting CBS News Weekend Roundup. Dan Raviv has anchored hours of radio coverage of historic American events such as the terrorism of September 11, the outcome of the contested election in 2000, and the space shuttle disaster of 2003. Prior to joining the Washington bureau, Mr. Raviv was based in Miami from 1992-1997, where he covered political campaigns and the Oklahoma City bombing, in addition to foreign assignments in Cuba, Peru, Britain, and Israel. Mr. Raviv also contributed to various CBS News television broadcasts.

Mr. Raviv is also a bestselling author of several books. His book Every Spy a Prince: The Complete History of Israel's Intelligence Community was a national bestseller. His book Comic Wars: Marvel’s Battle For Survival takes readers inside the corporate takeover and eventual bankruptcy of Marvel Entertainment. His new book, Spies Against Armageddon: Inside Israel's Secret Wars, was released in July 2012.
Mr. Raviv’s articles have appeared in The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Times of London and other major newspapers. His many awards include two from the Overseas Press Club of America for his coverage of the Persian Gulf crisis.
