He has served on the faculty at Harvard Business School, Yale School of Management, and the CFA Institute Investor Workshop at Princeton, and is a trustee and chair of the investment committee at Yale University. Charles D. Ellis is a consultant to large institutional investors and chairman of Investors Education, a new foundation he has organized at the request of the federal government. For thirty years he was managing partner of Greenwich Associates, an international business strategy consulting firm that he founded that serves virtually all the leading financial service organizations around the world.
Dr. Ellis earned his M.B.A. from Harvard University and his Ph.D. from New York University. He is the author of ten books (mostly on investing), and has written nearly 100 articles for business and professional magazines. Dr. Ellis has served on the boards of Harvard Business School and Phillips Exeter Academy and is currently a trustee of the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research and an overseer of the Stern School of Business at New York University. He was elected Successor Fellow at Yale in 1997.
