Biography

Amy Sohn is the author of the new novel Motherland, as well as Prospect Park West, Run Catch Kiss, and My Old Man. She wrote the TV tie-in books, Sex and the City: Kiss and Tell (Pocket Books) and Sex and the City: The Movie (Collins), both New York Times bestsellers.

She began her career writing an autobiographical column at New York Press called Female Trouble in 1996 and for six years was a contributing editor at New York magazine. According to The New York Times, A little-known event that took place around the time that Richard M. Nixon was resigning as President was the birth of Amy Sohn, who has emerged as a representative of her generation There is something about her career so far that suggests a mini-Zeitgeist. Her articles have also appeared in The NationHarper's BazaarPlayboyElle, and The New York Times.

She has written pilots for such networks as ABC, Fox, Lifetime and HBO and has appeared as a pundit on popular culture on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, and Lifetime. She is a graduate of Brown University and lives in Brooklyn with her family.
