"65 years. When a company has led in its field for that length of time, there's a tendency to talk about how the world has changed over the years. Or perhaps to boast a bit about our growth and success during this period.
But we would like to write about something more basic, more enduring and more timeless: our core values.
We are and have always been a family business. We'd like to tell you about our family: it's made up of thousands of meeting planners who trust us with coordinating every detail of securing speakers for their most important events. We understand the pressures the meeting planner is under and we do whatever we can to anticipate and alleviate any challenges, so that when the speaker finishes and the applause begins, the meeting planner is the hero and the applause is for them as well.
And we care for our speakers as if they're family, concerning ourselves with every aspect of their speaking careers, ensuring that they are well tended to and fully briefed, and their travel arrangements are handled sensitively and effectively, so that they can be at their best in front of the audience and its meeting planner.
And it is our family of colleagues here at the agency, who have been with us an average of 10 years (several with us as long as 25 years). A group of extraordinary people whose matchless dedication is unsurpassed in any corporation in the country. It is because of them that the Harry Walker Agency has grown to become the premier agency of our day.
65 years. Much has changed, especially in the way we communicate. But what we communicate, and what we deliver, has not changed at all. We think we are indeed the same agency that Harry Walker founded in 1946. We still maintain those same enduring values and timeless principles that have been our focus all this time: taking care of the speaker, taking care of the meeting planner, and taking care of each other, one successful event at a time."
